A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE AWARD
MAXIMUS TO CONDUCT A MANAGEMENT STUDY OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESENTED August 10, 1999

OF A CONTRACT TO DMG-
WHEREAS, on April 27, 1999, the Council authorized the release of a Request for
Proposals for a management study of the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, on July 2, 1999, proposals were received from two firms in response to the
RFP; and
WHEREAS, both firms were evaluated and interviewed in order to determine their
qualifications in conducting such studies; and
WHEREAS, based on these evaluations and interviews the firm recommended to conduct
a management study of the Police Department is DMG-Maximus.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Leesburg Town Council that the acting town
manager is authorized to enter into a contract with DMG-Maximus in the amount of $45,000 to
conduct a management study of the Police Department.
