AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND INCORPORATING
BY REFERENCE THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE,
1988 EDITION, AND AMENDING ORDINANCE
NUMBER 78.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
Section 1.
Amending Section I of Ordinance Number 78
Section I of Ordinance Number 78 of the City of Be I Aire,
Kansas is amended to read as follows:
"Section I. The following is hereby adopted as the standard
code regulating the erection, construction, enlargement,
alteration, repair, moving, improvement, removal, converSlon,
demolition, occupancy, equipment, use and maintenance of buildings
or structures in the City of Bel Aire, Kansas: the Uniform Building
Code, 1988 Edition, as published by the International Conference of
Building Officials, 5360 South Workman Mill Road, Whittier,
California, 90601, including the appendix thereto. Changes to the
standard code include the following:
a) Section 201 and Appendix Chapter I and I I are hereby
deleted.
b) Sections 205 and 304 (b) are amended as set forth In this
Ordinance."
All other sections of Ordinance Number 78, not previous ly
amended, shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 2.
Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its publication in the official city newspaper.
