AWARDING A CONTRACT TO HUNTER-KNEPSHIELD FOR THE
DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF REPLACEMENT PLAYGROUND
EQUIPMENT AT FOXRIDGE PARK
WHEREAS, the current playground equipment at Foxridge Park is thirteen years old and is
scheduled for replacement; and
WHEREAS, the FY 2000 budget includes funds for the replacement of the playground
equipment at Foxridge Park; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were solicited and evaluated in conformance with the town's
procurement requirements for the replacement of playground equipment at Foxridge Park; and
WHEREAS, Hunter-Knepshield submitted a bid of $38,285.25; and
WHEREAS, it was determined that Hunter-Knepshield is the most responsive and most
responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of the Town Council has recommended an award of
contract to Hunter-Knepshield in the amount of $38,285.25 for the design and installation of replacement
playground equipment at Foxridge Park.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows.
The town manager is authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the Town of Leesburg, a
lump sum contract with Hunter-Knepshield in the amount of $38,285.25 for the design and installation of
replacement playground equipment at Foxridge Park.
