APPROVING A TIME EXTENSION FOR CONSIDERATION
OF SPECIAL EXCEPTION APPLICATION #SE-99-07, FIRST
UNION NATIONAL BANK, !.EESBURG PARK
WHEREAS, First Union National Bank, has requested special exception
approval for a bank with a drive-thru on Parcel A of Leeburg Park, adjacent to the west of
Sheetz, known as #SE-99-07, First Union National Bank, Leesburg Park; and
WHEREAS, Section 11A-4(7) of the Zoning Ordinance states that a public
hearing by the Town Council shall be held within ninety day of receipt of a completed
application; and
WHEREAS, a public heating before the Town Council must be held by
October 27, 1999 in accordance with Section 11A-4(7) of the Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, a public heating before the Town Council was scheduled for
October 26, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department received revised plans addressing
staff's concerns regarding traffic Circulation, on October 6, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission cannot forward a recommendation to
the Town Council on those revised plans until October 21, 1999; and
WHEREAS, Michael Banzhaf, on behalf of his client, submitted a letter on
October 1, 1999 requesting that the public heating before the Town Council be postponed
from October 26, 1999 to November 9, 1999; and

WHEREAS, The Director of Planning, Zoning and Development recommends
approval of the postponement of the Town Council public hearing from October 26, 1999
to November 9, 1999; and
THEREFORE RESOLVED
Virginia as follows: The request for
by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in
postponement of the October 26, 1999 public
heating be granted and the public hearing for Special Exception Application #SE-99-07,
First Union National Bank be scheduled for November 9, 1999.
