RESOLUTION NO. 99- 325
A RESOLUTION:
PRESENTED October 26, 1999

AUTHORIZING CHANGING THE NAME OF THE LEESBURG
MUNICIPAL AIRPORT TO THE LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the economic development sub-committee of the Leesburg Airport
Commission recommended to the full Airport Commission that the name of the airport be
changed to the Leesburg Executive Airport; and
WHEREAS, the Airport Commission voted unanimously to recommend changing the
name of the Leesburg Municipal Airport to the Leesburg Executive Airport at their September
1999 meeting; and
WHEREAS, the Airport Director recommends changing the airport's name to the
Leesburg Executive Airport.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
town manager is hereby directed to generate the appropriate correspondence to the Federal
Aviation Administration and Virginia Department of Aviation to change the official name of the
airport to the Leesburg Executive Airport.
