AUTHORIZING A NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING FOR AN
AMENDMENT TO THE SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT
ORDINANCE TO UPDATE AND REVISE ARTICLES 7 THROUGH 11 OF
THE TOWN OF LEESBURG DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS
WHEREAS, the DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS MANUAL (DCSM) was
adopted by the Town Council on June 27, 1990 and became effective on August 27, 1990; and
WHEREAS, the DCSM is part of the Town's Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance,
and amendments to this ordinance must follow the process established in Section 15.2-2252 of the 1950
Code of Virginia, as amended; and
WHEREAS, in order to adopt these DCSM revisions the Town Council must conduct a public
hearing for consideration of these proposed amendments; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends setting a public hearing
date of December 14, 1999.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
A notice of public hearing to consider adoption of an amendment to the Subdivision and Land
Development Ordinance to update and revise articles 7 through 11 of the Town of Leesburg Design and
Construction Standards Manual is hereby authorized. Notification shall be published in the Leesburg
Today on December 1, 1999 and December 8, 1999 for a public hearing on December 14, 1999 at 7:30
p.m. in Council Chambers, 25 West Market Street, Leesburg, Virginia.
