AUTHORIZING THE USE OF TIlE COUNCIL CHAMBERS BY THE
CHRIST CHAPEL CHURCH ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 9, 2000 AND
FEBRUARY 13, 2000 TO CONDUCT SPECIAL SERVICES AND BY
THE ASHTON DOWNS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION ON
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 1, 1999 TO HOLD THE ANNUAL
MEETING OF THE HOMEOWNERS
WHEREAS, Reverend Canty of the Christ Chapel Church has requested the use of the
Council Chambers on Sunday, January 9, 2000 and Sunday, February 13, 2000 from 4 p.m. to 6
p.m., to conduct special services; and
WHEREAS, Karin Valliere with Armstrong Management, on behalf of the Ashton
Downs Homeowners Association, is requesting use of the Council Chambers on Wednesday,
December 1, 1999 from 7:00 p.m. to 9 p.m., to hold the annual meeting of the Ashton Downs
homeowners; and
WHEREAS, Council approval is required for use of the Council Chambers; and
WHEREAS, these two organizations have routinely used the Council Chambers in the
past; and
WHEREAS, an hourly rental fee of $15.00 will be charged; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of Council recommends the use of the Council Chambers to the
Christ Chapel Church and the Ashton Downs Homeowners Association for the dates and times
stated above:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:

AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS
SECTION I. Permission to rent the Council Chambers on Sunday, January 9, 2000
and Sunday, February 13, 2000 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., by the Christ Chapel Church is hereby
granted.
SECTION II. Permission to rent the Council Chambers on Wednesday, December 1,
1999 from 7:00 p.m. to 9 p.m., by Karin Valliere of Armstrong Management, on behalf of the
Ashton Downs Homeowners Association, is hereby granted.
SECTION III. An hourly fee of $15.00 will be charged to both organizations.
