AUTHORIZING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $61,000
FROM THE GENERAL FUND UNAPPROPRIATED FUND BALANCE FOR
THE TOWN'S Y2k CONTINGENCY PLAN
WHEREAS, Y2k funds were not appropriated for the FY 99 budget; and
WHEREAS, in June, 1999, the Information Technology Department developed the Y2k Action
Team campaign to inventory, assess, identify, test and remediate any Y2k-induced system failures and to
prepare the Town-wide Y2k Contingency Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Information Technology and the Y2k Action Team have determined
that staff, systems, and procedures should be in place to quickly identify a year 2000 problem; and
WHEREAS the Director of Information
appropriation in the amount of $61,000.00.

outlined in the Town of Leesburg Y2k Contingency Plan.
