RESOLUTION NO. 99-353 ADOPTED November 23, 1999
A RESOLUTION: AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
NORTH STREET SIDEWALK PROJECT TO GULL CORPORATION
IN THE AMOUNT OF $102,400
WHEREAS, the FY00 Capital Improvement Program includes a project for constructing
a sidewalk on North Street, between Harrison Street and Brown's Meadow Court; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation for bids for construction of the project,
the town received bids from the following firms:
· Gull Corporation
· A & M Construction Corporation
$102,400
$143,059
WHEREAS, the bids were evaluated by the Contracts Administrator in accordance with
the town Purchasing Policy; and
WHEREAS, Gull Corporation, of Leesburg, Virginia, was determined to be the lowest
responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance reports that sufficient funds are available for
construction of the project; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works, and the Contracts
Administrator recommend awarding a contract to Gull Corporation in the amount of $102,400
for construction of the North Street Sidewalk project.

AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
NORTH STREET SIDEWALK PROJECT TO GULL CORPORATION
1N THE AMOUNT OF $102,400
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
The Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Gull Corporation in the
amount of $102,400 for construction of the North Street Sidewalk project.
