Special Session
August 30, 2007 5:30 P.M. Greencastle City Hall
Call to Order: Roll Call
A. Mayor Michael called the meeting to order at 5:40 PM; Roll Call: John Lanie —
absent; Tom Roach, Mark Hammer, Bob Sedlack, Russ Evans present.
Public Hearing — Ordinance 2007 -11 — An Ordinance for Appropriations and Tax
Rates, First Reading
A. Mayor Michael opened the public hearing at 5:42 PM and closed upon no
comments at 5:43 PM.

A. Ordinance 2007 -11 — An Ordinance for Appropriations and Tax Rates, First
Reading
1. Mayor Michael reviewed budgets and changes for each department.
Council asked for corrections to the following budgets: Board of Works,
Cell Phone reduction in contract; Fire Department correction to Medicare
and FICA amounts; Police Department correction in PERF amount; Park
and Recreation correction to PERF; Cemetery correction to Salaries.
2. Motion by Mark Hammer to approve with changes discussed, second by
Bob Sedlack, unanimous approval.
B. Ordinance 2007 -12 — An Ordinance Establishing The Size Of The
Departments Of City Government Of The City Of Greencastle, Indiana, Fixing
Salaries For The Employees Of Such Departments and Fixing The Salaries Of
Certain Other Appointed Officials For The Year 2008. First Reading
1. Mayor Michael reviewed Ordinance 2007 -12. Council reviewed each
salary of each department. Clerk Treasurer Glenn asked to increase
Deputy Clerk Treasurer by $500 from water and $500 from waste water
due to recent additional duties of supervising the Utility Office.
2. Motion by Russ Evans to approve with changes as discussed, second by
Bob Sedlack, unanimous approval.
C. Ordinance 2007 -13 — An Ordinance Amending Chapter 9 Of The City Of
Greencastle Code Regarding Septage Rates, First Reading
1. Mayor Michael read this Ordinance in its entirety. Bob Sedlack stated he
would support this. This rate is 3 times the current rate due to being 3 •
times the concentration.
2. Motion by Mark Hammer to approve this Ordinance as presented,
second by Bob Sedlack, unanimous approval.;
VI. Adjournment
A. Motion by Mark Hammer to adjourn at 7:49 PM, second by Russ Evans,
unanimous approval.
