RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENTS TO P & H
CONSTRUCTION IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,801.02
WHEREAS, P & H Construction ("P&H") has undertaken to provide labor,
equipment and materials necessary to remove the failed raw sewage pump and
install a temporary pump at the Hayward Street Pump Station; and
WHEREAS, P & H also provided the labor, equipment and materials necessary
to install a temporary control panel and float system to replace controls damaged
by an electrical surge at the Dorothy Street Pump Station; and
WHEREAS, the urgent nature of the above services prevented the Borough of
Carteret (the "Borough") from obtaining competitive bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that payment for the herein described services in the amount
of $7,801.02 to P & H Construction is hereby authorized.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these services were provided without
competitive bidding in that the situation which gave rise to the need for the
services were emergent and the total amount paid to P & H does not exceed the
bid threshold established in N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-2.
