WHEREAS, the FY00 Capital Improvement Program includes a project for the replacement of a
1987 Case W14 B Front-end Loader; and
WHEREAS, on December 10, 1999, five (5) sealed bids were received for the purchase contract
of a new articulated front-end loader; and
WHEREAS, the summary of the bids received is as follows:

WHEREAS, the bids were evaluated in accordance with the town Purchasing Policy; and
WHEREAS, Vernon E. Stup Equipment Co. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for
this purchase; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends award of a purchase
contractin the amount of $74;780 to Vernon E. Stup Equipment Co. for the purchase of a replacement
Front-end Loader.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The purchase contract for a replacement Front-end Loader for fiscal year 2000 is hereby awarded
to Vernon E. Stup Equipment Co. in the amount of $74,780.
