A RESOLUTION: AWARDING A PURCHASE CONTRACT TO WASHINGTON AIR
COMPRESSOR RENTAL COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,750 FOR A
SOLAR POWERED MESSAGE BOARD
WHEREAS, the FY00 Capital Improvement Program includes a project for the purchase of a
trailer mounted solar powered message board; and
WHEREAS, on December 10, 1999, three (3) sealed bids were received for the purchase contract
of a solar powered message board; and
WHEREAS, the summary of the bids received is as follows:

WHEREAS, the bids were evaluated in accordance with the town Purchasing Policy; and
WHEREAS, Washington Air Compressor Rental Co. is the lowest responsive and responsible
bidder for this purchase; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends award of a purchase
contract in the amount of $15,750 to Washington Air Compressor Rental Company for the purchase of a
solar powered message board.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The purchase contract for a solar powered message board for fiscal year 2000 is hereby awarded
to Washington Air Compressor Rental Co. in the amount of $15,750.
PASSED this 11th day of January 2000.
