A RESOLUTION: AWARDING A PURCHASE CONTRACT TO BROWNING EQUIPMENT,
INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $52,728 FOR A TRACTOR MOUNTED BOOM
MOWER
WHEREAS, the FY00 Capital Improvement Program includes a project for the replacement of a
tractor mounted boom mower; and
WHEREAS, on December 10, 1999, four (4) sealed bids were received for the purchase contract
of a new tractor mounted boom mower; and
WHEREAS, the summary of the bids received is as follows:

WHEREAS, Browning Equipment, Inc. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for this
purchase; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends award of a purchase
contract in the amount of $52,728 to Browning Equipment, Inc. for the purchase of a replacement tractor
mounted boom mower.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The purchase contract for a replacement tractor mounted boom mower for fiscal year 2000 is
hereby awarded to Browning Equipment, Inc. in the amount of $52,728.
