RESOLUTION NO. 2000-17 ADOPTED January 26, 2000
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING A TIME EXTENSION FOR COMPLETION OF
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING A PERFORMANCE
GUARANTEE FOR POTOMAC CROSSING SECTION 2A, 2B-1 AND
3B-1
WHEREAS, Arcadia Development Company, the developer of Potomac Crossing
Section 2A, 2B 1 and 3B 1, has not completed all the required public improvements in accordance
with the approved construction drawings and town standards within the two-year period agreed
to in the contract for public improvements and previously approved time extensions; and
WHEREAS, the developer has requested a time extension to complete the public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, corporate surety bonds from the American Insurance Company in the
following amounts were provided by the developer to guarantee the installation of public
improvements in Potomac Crossing Section 2A, 2B-1 and 3B-l:
Potomac Crossing Section 2A -
· Potomac Crossing Section 2B-1 -
· Potomac Crossing Section 3B-1 -
$100,527.20
$129,945.00
$ 35,394.00
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends a nine (9)
month time extension for completion of the public improvements for Potomac Crossing Section
2A, 2B-1 and 3B-1.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:

GUARANTEE FOR POTOMAC CROSSING SECTION 2A, 2B-1 AND
3B-1
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds from the American Insurance Company in the
amount of $100,527.20 for Section 2A, $129,945.00 for Section 2B-1 and $35,394.00 for Section
3B-1 are approved to guarantee the installation of public improvements.
SECTION 1I. A time extension to July 14, 2000 for Section 2A and June 17, 2000 for
Sections 2B-1 and June 15, 2000 for Section 3B-1 are approved for completion of the public
improvements.
