AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY ALL-WAY STOP SIGNS ON
EDWARDS FERRY ROAD AT WOODBERRY ROAD AND EDWARDS
FERRY ROAD AT CATOCTIN CIRCLE TO REMAIN
WHEREAS, Resolution 99-257 was adopted on August 10, 1999 authorizing all-way stop signs
at the intersection of Edwards Ferry Road and Catoctin Circle and Edwards Ferry Road and Woodberry
Road for a 120 day trial period; and
WHEREAS, the all-way stop signs are currently working at Level of Service "C"; and
WHEREAS, on January 10, 2000 the Town Council Work Session group recommended all-way
stop signs on Edwards Ferry Road at Woodberry Road and Catoctin Circle to remain; and
WHEREAS, stop signs were installed to conform with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control
Devices (MUTCD).
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
Authorizing the all-way stop signs at Edwards Ferry Road at Woodberry Road and Catoctin
Circle to remain pending the completion of Council's review of the Residential Traffic Task Force's
report.
PASSED this 26th day of January 2000.
