A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARSON CITY COUNCIL
APPROPRITATION OF AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT
FUNDS
WHEREAS, the American Rescue Plan Act provides Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal
Recovery Funds (SLRF) to local governments such as the City of Carson address immediate and emergency needs related to COVID-19, including replenishing Staffing
shortages, premium pay for employees and elected officials who worked during the pandemic, providing infrastructure and capital improvements, and assistance for local business
and residents; and
WHEREAS, in addition to expenditures on City infrastructure and capital improvements and other allowable expenditures to improve the community and provide for residents, the City desires to utilize a portion of the SLRF to provide premium pay for employees and elected officials who worked at City facilities during the pandemic and who are currently employed by the City,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it necessary to amend the FY 21-22 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, FIND,
DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following ARPA Fund allocations are as follows thereby amending the City’s FY 21-
22 budget.

Tyler Munis Business License, Permit, Online Payment 2,200,000
Broadband RFP 500,000
Small Business Loan Relief 765,000
Small Business Grants 1,000,000

EOC Upgrade 500,000
Wi-fi expansion in City Parks 350,000
Total 17,776,763
Same shall be in force and effect.

Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall keep a copy
of this resolution attached to the FY 21-22 budget on file, and effective as of March 15", 2022, the
