RESOLUTION NO. 2000-55
A RESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO OWENS & DOVE,
INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $348,597.02 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
THE MAIN ZONE WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS AND IDA LEE
PARK TRAIL
WHEREAS, the FY00 Capital Improvements Program includes projects for the Main Zone
Tank No. 1 Water System Improvements and Ida Lee park Trail construction; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation for bids for construction of these projects,
the following bids were received:

and;
WHEREAS, the bids were reviewed by the town's project design engineer, and found to be
responsive to the bid request and within project estimates; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are appropriated in the FY2000 Budget to fund both projects;
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Utilities and Director of Parks and Recreation recommend
awarding a contract to Owens & Dove, Inc., in the amount of $348,597.02 for both projects.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:

The town manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Owens & Dove, Inc., in
the amount of $348,597.02 for the Main Zone Water System Improvements and Ida Lee Park Trail
projects.
