February 8, 2007
Members Present: Jim Jursak and G. Howard Hayes
Also attending was David Tately, Deputy Assessor
Mr. Hayes called the meeting to order at 5:45 p.m.

New Business:
The Board discussed whether it had the authority to abate a group of 2002 motor vehicle
excise abatement applications filed by William Harrison on vehicles that were once part of a
business he owned. It was determined that the Board had previously determined its policy to
be that excise bills older than three years could be abated only when the full amount of the
bill would be abated, which was not the situation presented. The Board chose not to change
its policy at this time.
Mr. Jursak moved to enter into Executive Session at 5:55 p.m. to discuss Abatements and
Exemptions and not return to open session. Mr. Hayes seconded.

Mr. Jursak moved to grant the following Real Estate abatements. Mr. Hayes seconded.
1. Pansire, Diane M-72 Griffiths Pond Road $62,000
2. Miller, Saul B-9 Frank D Lawrence Road $192,300
3. Sluis, Brian & Gail-11 Frank D Lawrence Road $263,500
4. Mazur, Robert et a1-65 Turning Mill Road $62,000
5. Zdanovich, Joseph et a1-51 Wiliams Drive $17,300
6. Kienzle, Monika et al, Trs. - 74 Robert Road $50,000
The motions passed 2-0.
Mr. Jursak moved to deny the following Real Estate abatement application. Mr. Hayes
seconded.
1. Lahive, David K - 188 Winslow landing
The motion passed 2-0.
Mr. Jursak moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. Mr. Hayes seconded, and it passed 2-
0.
