RESOLUTION NO. 2000-61 ADOPTED March 28, 2000
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT AND APPROVING A PERFORMANCE
GUARANTEE AND WATER AND SEWER EXTENSION PERMITS FOR POTOMAC
STATION SECTIONS 8C, 8D, 8E and 8F
WHEREAS, Engle Homes/Virginia, Inc., and Goose Creek Communities, L.L.C., the developers of
Potomac Station Sections 8C, SD, 8E and 8F have requested approval of a corporate surety bonds from the Reliance
Insurance Company in the amount of $348,043.00 for Section 8C, $213,835.00 for Section 8D, $231,854.00 for
Section 8E and $557,837.00 for Section 8F to guarantee the public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends approval of contracts for
installation of public improvements and acceptance of a performance guarantees for Potomac Station Sections 8C,
8D, 8E and 8F.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The manager shall execute the contracts for public improvements for the improvements
shown on the plans approved by the Director of Engineering and Public Works for Potomac Station Sections 8C,
8D, 8E and 8F.
SECTION II. The extension of municipal water and sewer for Potomac Station Sections 8C, SD, 8E
and 8F is approved in accordance with Sections 15-9 and 19-18 of the Town Code.
SECTION III. The corporate surety bonds in a form approved by the town attorney from the Reliance
Insurance Company in the amount of $348,043.00 for Section 8C, $213,835.00 for Section 8D, $231,854.00 for
Section 8E and $557,837.00 for Section 8F are approved as security to guarantee installation of the public
improvements shown on plans approved by the Director of Engineering and Public Works for Potomac Station
Sections 8C, 8D, 8E and BF.
