Board of Assessors Meeting
February 27, 2007
Members Present: Jim Jursak and G. Howard Hayes
Also attending was David Tately, Deputy Assessor
Mr. Hayes called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m.
Old Business:
Mr. Jursak moved to approve the minutes of February 15, 2007. Mr. Hayes seconded. The
motions passed 2-0.
New Business:
Mr. Jursak motioned to enter into Executive Session at 5:47 p.m. to discuss Abatements and
Exemptions and not return to open session. Mr. Hayes seconded.

Board of Assessors Meeting
February 27, 2007
Executive Session
Edward Lewis of 179 Far Fields Road appeared before the Board regarding his abatement
application. He made the case that his property and Far Fields Road in general should be
assessed comparably to the properties on Consodine Road and Yankee Drive. The Board
discussed this with Mr. Lewis and took his case under advisement, at which time Mr. Lewis
left the meeting.
Mr. Jursak moved to grant the following Real Estate abatements. Mr. Hayes seconded.
1. Tobin, Nina-176 Far Fields Road $29,500
2. Lewis, Edward and Valerie- 179 Far Fields Road $37,400
3. Ballantine, Francis and Susan- 169 Far Fields Road $29,500
4. Usher, Donald and Elaine- 155 Far Fields Road $29,800
5. Ossola, Benjamin and Frances- 141 Far Fields Road $30,200
6. Weisse, Susan M. - 64 Old Valley Road $35,500
The motions passed 2-0.
The Board considered the request of Gail Feldman, of 10 Oak Grove Lane, that it reconsider
it's previous denial of her abatement application. After discussion, the Board requested a
view of the property, which Mr. Tately would arrange.
Mr. Jursak moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Hayes seconded, and it passed 2-
0.
