A RESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO GENERAL
EXCAVATION, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $327,376.00 FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE MAIN ZONE WATER SYSTEM
IMPROVEMENTS, PHASES 6, 7, 9, & 10.
WHEREAS, the FY00 Capital Improvements Program includes projects for the Main Zone
Water System Improvements, Phases 6,7, 9 & 10; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation for bids for construction of these projects,
the following bids were received:
COMPANY NAMF. 1. General Excavation, Inc.
2. Rustler Construction, Inc.
3. Owens & Dove, Inc.
4. R.L. Rider & Company
BASE BID
$327,376.00
$397,172.00
$404,001.79
$436,940.00
and;
WHEREAS, the bids were reviewed by staff and found to be responsive to the bid request
and within project estimates; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are appropriated in the FY2000 Budget to fund this project;
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Utilities recommends
Excavation, Inc., in the amount of $327,376.00 for this project.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the

The town manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with General Excavation, Inc.
in the amount of $327,376.00 for the Main Zone Water System Improvements, Phases 6, 7, 9, &
10.
