SPECIAL ORDINANCE NO. 52-1931
AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TO THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDTA1A CERTAIN
CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY, ADJACENT AND ABUTTING THERETO, DESCRIBING
THE SAME, AND FIXING THE TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
WHEREAS, Larry L. Zeiner and Jayne C. Zeiner, each owning one
hundred percent (100%) of a certain parcel of land,
all being within the hereinafter described area, have
petitioned the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana for the voluntary annexation of said herein-
after described area, as set out, and in accordance
with I.C. 18-5-10-23; and,
WHEREAS, the area to be annexed is contiguous and adjacent to the
present boundary of the City of Richmond, Indiana; and,
WHEREAS, the requested annexation is consistant with the terms of
Council Resolution No. 5-1980.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana;
SECTION 1. That the following described territory, adjacent to the
corporate boundaries of the City of Richmond, be annexed
to and hereby is declared to be a part of the said City of
Richmond, Indiana; said territory being located in Wayne
Township, Wayne County, State of Indiana, and more parti-
cularly described as follows to -wit:
Being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 36,
Township 14 North, Range 1 West, and part of the North-
east Quarter of Section 1, Township 13 North, Range 1
West, all.in Wayne County, Wayne Township, Indiana, and
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline
of Old United States Highway 40, formerly the Wayne
County Turnpike, with the west line of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 36, said point of intersection being
one hundred fifty two and forty six hundredths (152.46)
feet north of the southwest corner of the Southeast
Quarter of said Section 36, and running thence, from
said beginning point, south seventy three (73) degrees
and fifty nine (59) minutes east, along the centerline
of said Old United States' Higi-n,.ray '40, a distance of two
hundred ninety one and sixty six hundredths (291.66)
feet to a point; thence south fourteen (14) degrees
and fifty eight (58) minutes east, along the chord of
a curve to the right and parallel to the centerline of
the Norfolk and Western Railroad, a chord distance of
five hundred twenty two and one hundredth (522.01) feet
to a point; thence north seventy four (74) degrees and
forty five (45) minutes west, a distance of two hundred
ninety three and eighty five hundredths (293.85) feet
to a point; thence west, one hundred thirty one and
seventy three hundredths (131.73) feet to a point; thence
north five hundred seven and eighty one hundredths (507.81)
feet to the point of beginning; containing an area of 3.80
acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by Common Council and approved by the Mayor
and the publication hereof as required by law.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
The undersigned, Larry L. Zeiner and Jayne C. Zeiner,
Husband and Wife, residents of Wayne County, State of Indiana,
hereby petition the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
for the annexation of certain real estate presently situated
outside and adjacent to the corporate boundaries of tTie CiCy
of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED
The real estate consists of a total of 3,80 acres, more
or less, and is adjacent to the corporate boundaries of the
City of Richmond, Indiana. The legal description of said real
estate and the terms and conditions requested to be applicable
to this annexation are all as more fully described in the pro-
posed Annexation Ordinance No. 52-1981, as set out in Exhibit
"B" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Your petitioner is the sole oT<mer of said land, owning
100% of said land sought to be annexed and requests the adoption
and passage of said special ordinance in accordance with the
statutes of the State of Indiana, particularly, IC 1971,
18-5-10-23 et seq.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said Larry L. Zeiner and Jayne C.
Zeiner have hereunto set their hand and seal this day of
1981.
