SECTION II. A time extension to September 1, 2000 for completion of the public improvements
is approved.

A RESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING AND SCHEDULING A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING FOR
REZONING TWIN LAKES SITE FOR A PUBLIC ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL
WHEREAS, Loudoun County Public Schools has submitted a "Letter of Intent"
dated May 1, 2000, to rezone the property known as "Twin Lakes" to accommodate a
new elementary school; and
WHEREAS, Loudoun County Public Schools has made it known that in order to
meet the desired accelerated construction and occupancy schedule for said new school,
rezoning of the selected Twin Lakes site must be initiated in May and be approved by
June 2000.
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this accelerated time frame for rezoning, a
joint public heating of the Town Council and Planning Commission is required.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia,
that the town manager is authorized to schedule a joint public heating of the Town
Council and Planning Commission for Tuesday, May 23, 2000, to consider the rezoning
of the Twin Lakes site for use as a public elementary school.
