AWARD OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT PURSUANT
TO THE LOCAL PUBLIC CONTRACT LAWS
WHEREAS, there exists a need for professional services for Financial Advisory
Services in connection with bonding issues; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-5(1)(a) professional services are exempt
from the requirements of competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, the local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret do does hereby appoint Public Financial Management, Inc..
at a rate of $120.00 per hour not to exceed $10,000.00 and directs the Mayor to
execute said contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the contract is awarded without competitive
bids in accordance with NJ.S.A 40A:11-5 (1)(a) due to the specialized and
professional nature of the services provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a notice of this action shall be printed once in
The News Tribune on August 22, 1995.
Adopted this 17th day of August, 1995
and certified as a true copy of the
