AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 154 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING ORDINANCE
NO. 2325-1968, MVONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANA ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 302 NORTH 7TH STREET FROM R-4 MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENCE
DISTRICT TO M-1 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968 desig-
nates and describes as R-4 Multi -Family Residence District, the
property located at 302 North 7th Street, in the City of Richmnd,
Indiana; and,
WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning classi-
fication of said property from R-4 Multi -Family Residence District
to M-1 Light Industrial District; and,
WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richond City Plan
Conrnission the 22nd day of September, 1981, at which time remon-
strances were heard from all parties interested in or affected by
this Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the vote of the Rich-mnd City Plan Commission was six (6) to zero
(0) in favor of recommending the passage of Ordinance No. 71-1981.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana as follows:
SECTION 1. That the zoning classification of the property described below
be, and the same is hereby changed to M-1 Light Industrial Dis-
trict, and that said property be regulated in accordance with
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana and all
amendments thereto.
Lots 1 through 18, inclusive, of Hiram Hadley's Addition to the
City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana.
ALSO: Lots 66, 67, 68 and 69 in C. W. Starr's Addition to the
City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana.
ALSO: All of that part of North "C" Street previously abandoned
by the City of Ricirmnd and bordered on the east by the west line
of North 7th Street; and on the west by the east line of Fort
Wayne Avenue;
the above being generally described as all of that land bordered
as follows:
(a) on the east by the west line of North 7th Street;
(b) on the north and west by the southeast line of
Fort Wayne Avenue and by the east line of North
6th Street.
(c) on the south by the north line of a certain alley,
running east and west from the southeast corner
of Lot #66 in C. W. Starr's Addition to the City
of Richmond to the southwest corner of Lot #69
in said addition.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval as by law required.
