A RESOLUTION:
RECEIVING THE MAJOR ISSUES 2000 DOCUMENT PREPARED BY THE
MANAGEMENT STAFF OF THE TOWN OF LEESBURG FOR REVIEW AND
FUTURE PLANNING
WHEREAS, the management staff of the Town of Leesburg desires to communicate to the Town
Council the most pressing issues facing town government at the beginning of the 2000-2002 Council term,
and
WHEREAS, the management staff came together in a retreat setting and identified 12 key issues
organized around two broad themes of "Shaping and Guiding Growth For Today and Tomorrow" and
"Embracing and Implementing Dynamic Organizational Development in Town Government To Better
Serve Citizens;" and
WHEREAS, the resulting document is "Major Issues 2000," which is meant to assist the Council in
selecting the most meaningful policy directions that the town government should follow in better serving
Leesburg' s citizens.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Council of the Town of Leesburg hereby receives for review and future planning the
Major Issues 2000 document prepared by the management staff of the Town of Leesburg.
PASSED this 25th day of July 2000.
