A RESOLUTION: AWARDING A CONTRACT TO SLURRY PAVERS, INC. IN
THE AMOUNT OF $25,590.00 FOR THE SEALING OF THE CRACKS
ON RUNWAY 17/35 AT THE LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT
WHEREAS, Invitation for Bid No 600-2000-06 was issued for sealing the cracks on the
runway at the Leesburg Executive Airport; and
WHEREAS, two bidders responded as shown below

Applied Polymetrics No Bid (Could not schedule the work)
Slurry Pavers, Inc. $25,590.00
WHEREAS, the bids were evaluated in accordance with the town Purchasing Policy; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $50,000 were included in the FY 2000-2004 Capital
Improvements Budget for this project; and
WHEREAS, the true cost to the Town of Leesburg due to a State Maintenance Grant is
$2,559.00.
WHEREAS, the references of the loWest responsive, responsible bidder for this
purchase are acceptable; and
WHEREAS, the Airport Director and Airport Commission recommend award of a
purchase contract in the amount of $25,590.00 to Slurry Pavers, Inc. for sealing the cracks on the
runway of the Leesburg airport as specified in Invitation for Bid No. 600-2000-06.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract for runway crack sealing services to
Slurry Pavers, Inc. in the amount of $25,590.00.
PASSED this 8th day of August 2000.
