APPROVING AN ANNUAL SLUDGE REMOVAL CONTRACT TO
JAYMAC AT AN ESTIMATED ANNUAL COST OF $30,099 FOR USE
AT THE WATER TREATMENT FACILITY
WHEREAS, Invitation for Bid No. 3140-2000-01 for sludge removal services for the
water treatment facility was issued and notice of same was properly posted; and
WHEREAS, five bids were received as shown in the table below;

WHEREAS, the references of the lowest responsive, responsible bidder where found to
be in order; and
WHEREAS, an estimated 762,000 gallons of sludge will be removed at an estimated total
cost of $30,099; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of staff to award the contract to Jaymac, the lowest
responsive, responsible bidder.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
town manager is authorized to execute a contract for sludge removal services to Jaymac for a
twelve-month period effective August 15, 2000 through August 14, 2001 in accordance with the
terms and conditions of IFB No. 3140-2000-01 at a cost of 0.0395 cents per gallon.
