A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING TIME EXTENSIONS FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES
FOR POTOMAC STATION SECTIONS 2AB, 2AB-l, 2CD, 2EF, 2GH, 3AB,
4, 4 (WATER & SEWER EXTENSION PLAN), 6A, & THE COMMUNITY
CENTER
WHEREAS, Goose Creek Communities, L.L.C., the developer of Potomac Station Sections
2AB, 2AB-l, 2CD, 2EF, 2GH, 3AB, 4, 4 (Water & Sewer Extension Plan), 6A, & the Community
Center, has not completed all the required public improvements in accordance with the approved
construction drawings and town standards within the two-year period agreed to in the contract for
public improvements and previously approved time extension; and
WHEREAS, the developer has requested a time extension to complete the public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, this subdivision is in Loudoun County and the town's bonded improvements are
water and sanitary sewer only; and
WHEREAS, corporate surety bonds in the following amounts from the Frontier Insurance
Company were provided by the developer to guarantee the installation of public improvements in
Potomac Station sections 2AB, 2AB-l, 2CD, 2EF, 2GH, 3AB, 4, 4 (Water & Sewer Extension Plan),
6A, & the Community

CENTER
WHEREAS, the town's Director of Engineering and
extensions as follows for completion of the public improvements:
Section 2AB - March 29, 2001
Section 2AB-1 - April 18, 2001
Section 2CD -February 1, 2001
Section 2EF - November 12, 2000
Section 2GH - March 29, 2001
Public Works recommends time
Section 3AB - November 12, 2000
Section 4 - April 18, 2001
Section 4 (W&S Ext. Plan) - November 25, 2000
Section 6A - October 28, 2000
Community Center - April 18, 2001
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds from the Frontier Insurance Company in the
amounts listed above are approved to guarantee the installation of public improvements in Potomac
Station Sections 2AB, 2AB-l, 2CD, 2EF, 2GH, 3AB, 4, 4 (Water & Sewer Extension Plan), 6A, &
the Community Center.
SECTION II. The time extensions recommended by the Director of Engineering and Public
Works for completion of the public improvements in Potomac Station Sections 2AB, 2AB-l, 2CD,
2EF, 2GH, 3AB, 4, 4 (Water & Sewer Extension Plan), 6A, & the Community Center are approved.
