RESOLUTION NO. 180
A RESOLUTION:
PRESENTED September 12, 2000
ADOPTED September 12, 2000
MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE BALCH LIBRARY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, participation by public-spirited citizens on town boards and commissions is vital to
the success of the town government and the democratic process; and
WHEREAS, boards and commissions serve an indispensable role in providing recommendations
concern town policy and programs; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to appoint effective individuals to serve at its will and pleasure on
these advisory bodies; and
WHEREAS, Council adopted Resolution No. 2000-148 on July 24, 2000 establishing a procedure
concerning appointment of individuals to town boards and commissions.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
Joan Rokus, James Lucier, and Irene W. Bobich are appointed to the Balch Library Commission for a
four-year term to expire on June 30, 2004.
