RESOLUTION NO. 185
A RESOLUTION:
PRESENTED September 12, 2000
ADOPTED September 12, 2000
MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, participation by public spirited citizens on town boards and commissions is vital to
the success of the town government and the democratic process; and
WHEREAS, boards and commissions serve an indispensable role in providing recommendations
concerning town policy and programs; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to appoint effective individuals to serve at its will and pleasure on
these advisory bodies; and
WHEREAS, Council adopted Resolution No. 2000-148 on July 24, 2000 establishing a procedure
concerning appointment of individuals to town boards and commissions.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
Cindy Lockler, Sidney Lord, and John Laycock are appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission
for a four-year term to expire on June 30, 2004.
