TOWN OF BREWSTER
COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE
Meeting Minutes
November 28, 2007
Chairman Elliott Carr called the meeting to order at 4:30 PM. Members present
were; Paul Hush, Elizabeth Taylor, Jeanne Boehm, Roland Bassett Jr., William
Reyburn, Paul Ruchinskas, and Roy Robinson. Member missing was Michael Lach.
1. Motion by Roland Bassett Jr. to accept Minutes of 10-24-07 as presented.
Second by Paul Hush. VOTE 7-0-0
2. Possible Applications
A. Cape Rep- revision to be presented
B. Windmill- small grant may be requested
C. Latham School Housin4-
through Town Housing Authority, around $50,000.00, pre-development
work, monies from HUD
and other grants.
D. Stranahan Walkin4 Trails
E. First Parish Church
F. Cemetery Restoration
3. Acceptance of further Applications
December 1~ deadline can be extended.
We will do our best to complete them for next Town Meeting
Rolling deadline, the public may not be aware of this. Application accepted
after the deadline may not make the next Town Meeting.
We will make an effort to publicize the dates.
CPA needs to "get the name out there"-signs for projects in progress.
Elizabeth will update the website-especially the deadline dates.
4. Housing
CPC Minutes 10-24-07
Met with consultant. In the 2nd phase of the Housing Action Plan. The Draft
proposal to be presented to the CPA.
1. Map of desirable locations
2. Update plan/update accessory apartment listings
3. changes in zoning regulations
4. Paying for a Housing Assistant (report to the Town Planner)-possible
shared cost with another town.
5. Working with Brewster Housing Authority regarding new projects.
Bill Reyburn noted the Brewster Housing Authority has 5.83 acres
that was given to them by the Town. Have discussed their
involvement .Suggest get together in January for specifics.
5. December 26th meeting CANCELLED
6. Conferences- Elliott has the information for all.
7. Other Business
