HomeMy Public PortalAbout2000_10_31_r204The Town of Leesburg, rg ma PRESENTED October 31, 2000 RESOLUTION NO. 2000-20/, ADOPTED October 31, 2000 A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY WHEREAS, town departments have submitted equipment and vehicles as surplus property for disposal; and WHEREAS, town surplus property, with the exception of items to be donated to the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad and/or the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company, must be disposed of in accordance with the procedures implemented by the Finance Department, which require the items, be offered for sale at a public auction. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: SECTION I. The town manager is authorized and directed to advertise and sell the surplus equipment, vehicles and other items, with the exception of items to be donated to the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad and/or the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company, in accordance with the procedures implemented by the Finance Department. SECTION III. The town manager is authorized to donate any items on the surplus propei'ty list to the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad and/or the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company. SECTION IV. The auction will be held on November 29, 2000 at mid-day at the Town Shop located at 1393 East Market Street and will be conducted by town staff.
