RESOLUTION NO. 2000-209 ADOPTED October 31, 2000
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING A TIME EXTENSION FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING A PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE
FOR POTOMAC STATION SECTION 6H
WHEREAS, Engle Homes/Virginia, Inc., and Goose Creek Communities, L.L.C., the
developers of Potomac Station Section 6H have not completed all the required public improvements
in accordance with the approved construction drawings and town standards within the two-year
period agreed to in the contract for public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the developers have requested a time extension to complete the public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, this subdivision is in Loudoun County and the town's bonded improvements are
water and sanitary sewer only; and
WHEREAS, a corporate surety bond in the amount of $51,432.40 from the Reliance
Insurance Company was provided by the developers to guarantee the installation of public
improvements in Potomac Station Section 6H; and
WHEREAS, the town's Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends a time
extension to November 25, 2001 for completion of the public improvements for Potomac Station
Section 6H.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The corporate surety bond from the Reliance Insurance Company in the
amount $51,432.40 is approved to guarantee the installation of public improvements in Potomac
Station Section 6H.
