AUTHORIZING TIME EXTENSIONS FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES
FOR POTOMAC STATION SECTIONS 2EF, 3AB, and 6A
WHEREAS, Goose Creek Communities, L.L.C., the developer of Potomac Station Sections
2EF, 3AB, and 6A has not completed all the required public improvements in accordance with the
approved construction drawings and town standards within the two-year period agreed to in the
contract for public improvements and previously approved time extension; and
WHEREAS, the developer has requested a time extension to complete the public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, this subdivision is in Loudoun County and the town's bonded improvements are

water and sanitary sewer only; and
WHEREAS, corporate surety bonds in the amount of $9,516.79 for Section 2EF, $21,860.19
for Section 3AB and $12,377.09 for Section 2GH from the Frontier Insurance Company were
provided by the developer to guarantee the installation of public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the town's Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends a time
extension to November 12, 2001 for Sections 2EF and 3AB and October 28, 2001 for Section 6A;
and
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds from the Frontier Insurance Company in the
amounts listed above are approved to guarantee the installation of public improvements in Potomac

SECTION II. The time extensions to November 12, 2001 for Potomac Station Sections 2EF
& 3AB and October 28, 2001 for Potomac Station Section 6A for completion of the public
improvements are approved.
