HomeMy Public PortalAbout2000_11_14_r234The Town of Leesburg, ._ rglnta November 28, 2000 PRESENTED RESOLUTION NO: 2000-234 ADOPTED November 28, 2000 A RESOLUTION: DENYING SPECIAL EXCEPTION APPLICATION #SE 2000-07, ROYAL SELF STORAGE, TO PERMIT A MINI-WAREHOUSE FACILITY WHEREAS, Thomas B. and Martha A. Chamberlin have requested special exception approval for a mini-warehouse facility; and WHEREAS, the property is located in the B-2, Established Corridor Commercial Zoning District; and WHEREAS, on October 19, 2000, the Planning Commission recommended conditional approval of this application; and WHEREAS, on October 31, 2000, the Town Council held a public hearing; and WHEREAS, the proposal does not complement the existing development, and is not consistent or compatible with the overall character of the established development pattern as required by the infill policies of the Town Plan: and WHEREAS, the proposed special exception is not in the interest of public health, safety, general welfare and good planning practice: THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: Special Exception application #SE 2000-07 for Royal Self Storage is hereby denied.
