RESOLUTION NO. 70 -1054
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO VACATE THE WESTERLY 190
FEET OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY LOCATED
SOUTHERLY OF LAS TUNAS DRIVE RUNNING BETWEEN
KAUFFMAN AVENUE AND GOLDEN WEST AVENUE
IN SAID CITY, AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE
FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE PROPOSED
VACATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE,
ORDER AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The public interest and convenience require
and the City of Temple City does hereby declare its intention
to vacate the westerly 190 feet of that certain alley located
southerly of Las Tunas Drive running between Kauffman Avenue
and Golden West Avenue.
SECTION 2. A map or plan indicating by boundary lines
the extent of the property included in the proposed vacation
is on file in the office of the City Clerk and reference is
hereby made to said map or plan for a further full and com-
plete description of all property comprising the aforesaid
alley proposed to be vacated as declared herein.
SECTION 3. Any and all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation may appear before this
Council on the 1st day of December, 1970, at 7:30 p.m. of
said day in the Council Chamber of said City Council in the
City Hall, in the City of Temple City, and show cause why
said alley should not be vacated and abandoned as aforesaid.
SECTION 4. The City Council declares that in the event
such vacation is completed, it will reserve all utility
easements located therein as provided in Section 8330 of the
Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 5. The Superintendent of Streets shall cause
to be posted notices of the passage of this Resolution at
the places and in the manner required by law. These pro-
ceedings are taken under and by virtue of the provisions
of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, as amended, being
Section 8300 to 8331 inclusive of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of November, 1970.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted
by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting
thereof, held on the 3rd day of November , 1970, by the
following vote of Council:
AYES: Councilmen - Briggs, Gilbertson, Harker, Merritt
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen - Tyrell
