AUTHORIZING TIME EXTENSIONS FOR COMPLETION OF
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING PERFORMANCE
GUARANTEES FOR TAVISTOCK FARMS SECTIONS 9, 10, (1 l&12),
(13,19,20,21), 14, AND 18
WHEREAS, Arcadia Building Company, the developer of Tavistock Farms Sections 9,
10, (1 l&12), (13,19,20,21) 14 and 18, has not completed all the required public improvements in
accordance with the approved construction drawings and town standards within the two-year
period agreed to in the contract for public improvements and previously approved time
extensions; and
WHEREAS, the developer has requested a time extension to complete the public
improvements; .and
WHEREAS, corporate surety bonds from the American Insurance Company in the
amount of $38,580.00 for Section 9; $72,540.30 for Section 10; $144,964.00 for Section 1 l&12;
and $205,041.00 for 13,19,20,21; $99,806.00 for Section 14; and $282,414.00 for Section 18
were provided by the developer to guarantee the installation of public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the town's Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends a time
extension to October 23, 2001 for Sections 9, (13,19,20,&21), 14 and 18 and a time extension to
April 23, 2001 for Sections 10 and (1 l&12) for completion of the public improvements.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:

GUARANTEES FOR TAVISTOCK FARMS SECTIONS 9, 10, (1 l&12),
(13,19,20,21), 14, AND 18
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds from the American Insurance Company in the
amounts listed above are approved to guarantee the installation of public improvements in
Tavistock Farms Sections 9, 10, (1 l&12), (13,19,20,21) 14 and 18.
SECTION II. A time extension to October 23, 2001 for Sections 9, (13,19,20,&21), 14
and 18 and a time extension to April 23, 2001 for Sections 10 and (1 l&12) for completion of the
public improvements are approved.
