REMOVING TWO PARKING METERS ON TIlE WEST SIDE OF
HARRISON STREET BETWEEN EAST MARKET AND EAST LOUDOUN
STREETS, AND DEDICATING THE ASSOCIATED PARKING SPACES TO
LOUDOUN TRANSIT FOR SCHEDULED BUS SERVICE
WHEREAS, Loudoun Transit plans to establish scheduled bus service in Leesburg in
January 2001; and
WHEREAS, Loudoun Transit's service plan calls for a central transfer point for the bus
service on Harrison Street at the Loudoun County Government Center; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Town Council to remove two parking meters to establish
the central transfer point; and
WHEREAS, town staff recommends that the meters be removed for this purpose.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that two
parking meters on the west side of Harrison Street between East Market and East Loudoun Streets,
are hereby removed, and that the associated parking spaces are dedicated to Loudoun Transit for the
purpose of establishing a central transfer point for bus service.
