A RESOLUTION: DELEGATING APPROVAL AUTHORITY TO THE TOWN
MANAGER FOR CERTAIN EASEMENT VACATIONS
WHEREAS, the current process to vacate easements is long and burdensome to
the Town and applicant alike; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Town Council to establish an accelerated means
to vacate easements granted as a condition of development plan or subdivision approval;
and
WHEREAS, the State Code enables the Town Council to designate an agent to act
on their behalf in such matters.

THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Town of Leesburg in Virginia the Town
Manager or his designee is hereby delegated the authority to vacate easements or portions
thereof which were granted as a part of development plan or subdivision approval on
behalf of the Town Council.
This resolution shall be in effect upon its passage.
PASSED this 27TH day of February, 2001.
