A RESOLUTION:
AWARDING OF A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO VISIONAIR FOR
SOFTWARE TO SUPPORT THE POLICE MOBILE COMPUTER PROGRAM
IN THE AMOUNT OF $129,582.
WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to have the police department equipped with technology
that will increase department efficiency and effectiveness; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council approved the use of Uran money during the FYOl budget
discussions for the police mobile computer program; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Police Department currently uses VisionAir software in its Computer
Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management System (RMS); and
WHEREAS, the police department has determined that VisionAir software will achieve the

desired seamless integration with the other department systems; and
WHEREAS, the police department has determined and council concurs that VisionAir is the only
practicable source manufacturing this software; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police recommends the purchase of this software.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Manager is authorized to enter into a sole source contract with VisionAir for mobile
data project software in the amount of$129,582.
PASSED the 13th day of March, 2001.
