RESOLUTION NO. 2001-51 ADOPTED April 10, 2001
A RESOLUTION: ACCEI~F. RATING THE BRADFIELD DRIVE CONNECTION
WHEREAS, the Town Council desires the connection of Bradfield Drive between
the Leesburg Country Club and Woodlea Manor subdivisions in an effort to relieve some
of the traffic volume using Meade Drive through the Greenway Farm subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the connection of Bradfield Drive has been part of the Town's
planned transportation network; and
WHEREAS, the remaining construction activity within Woodlea Manor and
Woodlea Hills is far removed from this area of Bradfield Drive; and
WHEREAS, there is no longer a need to delay the completion of Bradfield Drive.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. Resolution #87-220 unnecessarily delays the Bradfield Drive
connection and is hereby rescinded.
SECTION II. A four-way stop shall be installed at the intersection of Bradfield
Drive and Nickels Drive/Place just prior to the completion of the Bradfield Drive
connection.
SECTION 111.
Street lights will be installed along Bradfield Drive subject to the
granting of the necessary easements by the homeowners that reside along Bradfield
Drive. A homeowner's refusal to grant easements will not delay the opening of
Bradfield Drive.

SECTION IV. The expeditious installation of traffic signals at the intersection at
Route 15 and Woodlea Drive is encouraged. The traffic signals at Rt. 15 and Meade
Drive and Rt. 15 and Country Club Drive shall be installed in calendar year 2001.
SECTION V. The issue of the Bradfield Drive connection will also be forwarded
to the Standing Residential Traffic Committee to evaluate traffic calming measures.
SECTION VI. This resolution shall be in effect upon its passage.
