RESOLUTION NO. 2001-62 ADOPTED May 8, 2001
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE USE OF URAN FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $500 FOR THE LOUDOUN COUNTY CHAPTER OF
MOTHERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING "GREAT AMERICAN
PICNIC" TO BE HELD AT IDA LEE PARK
WHEREAS, the Loudoun County Chapter, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)
will hold its second annual "Great American Picnic" event on Saturday, June 30, 2001 at Ida Lee
Park; and
WHEREAS, the rental fee for the use of Ida Lee Park for this event is $500; and
WHEREAS, last year, the Town Council authorized the use of Uran funds in the amount
of $500 to support the organization's efforts; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation recommends the use of Uran funds to
satisfy the organization' s park rental fees.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. The request by the Loudoun County Chapter, Mothers Against Drunk
Driving in the amount of $500 for the use of Ida Lee Park on Saturday, June 30, 2001 for the
"Great American Picnic" is hereby approved.
SECTION II. The Town Manager is hereby authorized to use Uran funds in the amount
of $500 to satisfy the request by MADD.
