RESOLUTION DECLARING THE 2001 STERLING JOHNSTON
STREET SWEEPER AS SURPLUS EQUIPMENT AND
AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Riverdale("City")may dispose of equipment it
deems to be surplus by auction, listed sale or donation to other units of government or not-for-profit
entities; and,
WHEREAS,the City Council,the City of Bettendorf has agreed to perform the services of Street
Sweeping for the community; and,
WHEREAS,the City is no longer in need of the Street Sweeper; and,
WHEREAS, it would be most beneficial for the City to sell the 2001 Sterling Johnston Street
Sweeper VIN#49H67FAA61HF18702 and retain the revenue from the sale in the City's Capital Fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RIVERDALE, SCOTT COUNTY, IN THE STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1. That the City Council declares that the 2001 Sterling Johnston Street Sweeper is deemed
to be surplus.
Section 2. That City staff is directed to place the item for sale to the highest bidder on an online for
sale site such as public auctions or Ebay.
