RESOLUTION NO. 2001-85 ADOPTED May 22, 2001
A RESOLUTION: MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE LEESBURG STANDING
RESIDENTIAL TRAFFIC COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Town Council adopted on February 13, 2001 Resolution//2001-17 which
established a Standing Residential Traffic Committee which includes five (5) citizen representatives; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Leesburg Town Council to make appointments to the Standing
Residential Traffic Committee; and
WHEREAS, the five (5) citizen representatives will consist of one (1) At-large member, and one
(1) each from northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest quadrants of town; and
WHEREAS, advertisements were placed in the Leesburg Today to solicit letters of interest from
Leesburg residents; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends the Standing Residential
Traffic Committee consist of the following:
· At-large member - Ms. Elizabeth Whiting
· Northeast quadrant - Mr. Wayne Henderson
· Northwest quadrant - Mr. Terry Camilleri
· Southeast qua&ant - Vacancy
· Southwest quadrant - Ms. Dawn Barrett
; and
WHEREAS, the primary functions of the Standing Residential Traffic Committee will be to
evaluate traffic calming requests and traffic issues and forward recommendations on Residential Traffic
Management to the Town Council.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The following Leesburg residents are appointed to the Standing Residential Traffic
Committee: At-large member Elizabeth-Whiting; Northeast quadrant Mr. Wayne Henderson; Northwest
quadrant Mr. Terry Camilleri; Southeast Vacant; and Southwest Ms. Dawn Barrett.

SECTION II. Leesburg Town Council member Mervin Jackson is appointed to the Standing
Residential Traffic Committee.
SECTION III. Leesburg Planning Commission member Ms. Lyle Wemer is appointed to the
Standing Residential Traffic Committee.
SECTION IV. The term for each member shall be two (2) years and the initial term shall expire
on June 30, 2002.
