RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION: MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO THE LEESBURG STANDING
RESIDENTIAL TRAFFIC COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Town Council adopted on May 22, 2001 Resolution #2001-85 which appointed
four (4) citizens to the Standing Residential Traffic Committee with a vacancy for a citizen representative
for the southeast quadrant; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Leesburg Town Council to make an appointment from the
southeast quadrant for a total of five (5) citizen representatives to serve on the Standing Residential
Traffic Committee; and
WHEREAS, the five (5) citizen representatives will consist of one (1) At-large member, and one
(1) each from northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest quadrants of town; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends that Mr. Michael
Phillips to be the citizen representative for the southeast quadrant for the Standing Residential Traffic
Committee; and
WHEREAS, the primary functions of the Standing Residential Traffic Committee will be to
evaluate traffic calming requests and traffic issues and forward recommendations on Residential Traffic
Management to the Town Council.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of I~eesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Mr. Michael Phillips is hereby appointed to the Standing Residential Traffic
Committee as the southeast quadrant member.
SECTION II. The term for each member shall be two (2) years and the initial term shall expire
on June 30, 2002.
