RESOLUTION NO. 2001-112 ADOPTED June 26, 2001
A RESOLUTION: ADOPTING THE FISCAL YEARS 2002-2006 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING AND MAKING AN APPROPRIATION
FOR THE EVERGREEN MILL ROAD SEWER FORCEMAIN PROJECT
IN FY 2002
WHEREAS, Section 15.2-2239 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, authorizes the
preparation and annual review of a Capital Improvement Program (CIP); and
WHEREAS, the town manager submitted a proposed Capital Improvement Program to the
Town Council and Planning Commission on March 8, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed CIP on April 5,
2001; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the CIP for compliance with the Town
Plan and on April 5, 2001, approved a motion to recommend the CIP for adoption by the Town
Council; and
WHEREAS, the CIP includes the $100,000 Evergreen Mill Road Sewer Forcemain as a new
project in FY 02; and
WHEREAS, the CIP provides a long-term plan for the financing, acquisition and
construction of capital facilities, projects and equipment in the amount of $130,037,533 over the next
five years.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The proposed Capital Improvement Program for fiscal years 2002-2006 is
Approved.

IN FY 2002
SECTION II. The Evergreen Mill Road Sewer Forcemain is established as a new project in
fiscal year 2002 and funding in the amount of $100,000 is appropriated from the unappropriated
Utility Fund balance.
SECTION 1II. Those projects scheduled for fiscal year 2002 shall be included in the budget
for that fiscal year and such funds are hereby appropriated and such appropriations shall remain in
effect until such projects have been completed.
