APPROVING THE TOWN/STATE AGREEMENT AND
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Catoctin Circle Widening Project is
Department of Transportation and administered by the Town; and
funded by the Virginia
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation for bids for this Catoctin Circle
Widening Project, the Town received bids on May 29, 2001 from the following firms:
· Rustler Construction, Inc.
· Fort Myers Construction Co.
$4,385,700.00
$5,115,000.00
WHEREAS, this is a "Lump Sum" contract; and
WHEREAS, the bids were evaluated by the Capital Projects
accordance with the bid documents and the Town Purchasing Policy; and
WHEREAS, The Commonwealth Transportation Board approved the contract
award to Rustler Construction, Inc., at their June 21, 2001 meeting; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works, and the Capital
Projects Manager recommend approval of the Town-State Agreement; and
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:

APPROVING THE TOWN/STATE AGREEMENT AND
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS
AGREEMENT
The Town Council approves the Town-State Agreement and authorizes the Town
Manager to execute it.
