RESOLUTION NO. 2 001-141 ADOPTED August 14, 2001
A RESOLUTION: ACCEPTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, RELEASING THE
PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES AND APPROVING MAINTENANCE
GUARANTEES FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AT GREENWAY FARM
SECTION 8, PHASE 3 SECTION 9 AND THE MEADE DRIVE AND ROUTE
15 IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, Beazer Homes, the developer of Greenway Farm Section 8, Phase 3 Section 9 and
the Meade Drive and Route 15 Improvements has completed the public improvements in accordance with
approved plans and town standards and these have been inspected and approved; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends accepting the public
improvements and approving maintenance guarantees for Greenway Farm Section 8, Phase 3 Section 9
and the Meade Drive and Route 15 Improvement.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds from the American Home Assurance Company in the
amount of $45,257.00 for Section 8; $66,142.05 for Phase 3 Section 9; and $830,000.00 for the Meade
Drive and Route 15 Improvements are released, a new security in a form approved by the town attorney
for a maintenance guarantee in the amount of $20,391.68 for Section 8; $33,071.03 for Phase 3 Section 9;
and $41,360.12 for the Meade Drive and Route 15 Improvements are approved, and shall be in effect for
a period of one year from this date.
SECTION II. This release is contingent upon delivery of a properly executed instrument
conveying unto the town all such improvements and easements free of any liens or charges.
